http://www.salon.com/2016/06/08/we_have_our_nominee_top_sanders_superdelegates_suggest_its_time_for_bernie_to_drop_out/ “Once a candidate has won a majority of the pledged delegates and a majority of the popular vote, which Secretary Clinton has now done, we have our nominee,” Merkley, who is Sanders’ only supporter in the Senate, said. “This is the moment when we need to start bringing parts of the party together so they can go into the convention with locked arms and go out of the convention unified into the general election.” |

Political demigods don’t need delegates. All they need is the email addresses of their cult members. He made his intentions quite clear in his speech last night. For him, this is no longer about the Democratic Party (which he didn’t mention once) but rather this is about his own private political “revolution”. To rank and file Democrats, he is a traitor. |

You are amazed that when a snake-oil salesman comes in an decides to break off a piece of the Democratic Party for his own personal gain that some would be upset. Damn right! He lost the primary but has refused to concede. From here on out, he is simply campaigning for himself - he is no longer running for the Democratic Party nominee. |

Wake up. He has already gone third party. He made that clear last night in his non-concession speech. He is no longer running for the Democratic Party nomination. He has lost that by a wide margin in both pledged delegate votes and with super delegate votes. His continued campaigning is now is for no other reason than to satisfy he ego and to fulfill his Messiah complex. |

Well, you might want to let him know he is needed back in Congress because he thinks he is still running for the Democratic nomination for President. His greatest accomplishment in Congress was getting a Vermont court house renamed. That is why he is decided to pretended to be a Democrat - so he could con a portion of Democrats to vote against their Party nominee and pledge their allegiance to him. |

Yes. Marxism has always been a thorn in the side of the Democratic Party. Finally, a con man with enough rhetoric skills has managed to persuade a substantial portion of the Party that the people representing them are corrupt and incompetent and to take up the banner of world socialism. And like most liberal / socialist political struggles throughout time, the winners are the conservative right, and the losers are the American people. Edited by coverpoint, Jun 8 2016, 02:17 PM.

Sanders' actions are the amazing part. The response to them is not amazing at all. |

Yes, how dare Sanders challenge the Democratic Party Collective. Resistance is futile after all, we ought to all just live happily as sheeple.
