Michigan Senate Passes Bill Outlawing Oral and Anal Sex — Violators Will Face 15 Years in Prison

During their session last week, the Michigan Senate passed a bill that effectively bans all forms of sodomy, anal, oral, gay and non-gay — making the acts punishable by up to 15 years in prison.

Surprisingly, Michigan is not alone in this archaic and oppressive legislation. Michigan, along with Idaho, Utah, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana, all have laws on the books making consensual oral and anal sex, illegal, between all individuals. Montana, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas, have only outlawed these acts if those engaged in them are gay.

The passage of this Bill is in spite of the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2003 ruling in Lawrence v. Texas declaring sodomy bans unconstitutional.

Arizona eliminated those laws because no one in Arizona apparently does those nasty things....Either that or it really was consensual, so no one complained............... :dunno:

Individuals voted for these lawmakers to represent them. Don't like it, vote them out.

Seriously though, why would anyone make such a law? Who supports this?

The religious right.

Funny thing...the anti-sodomy laws in Texas led to two gay men being arrested for sodomy. That led to a challenge to the law that made its way to the Supreme Court and was deemed unconstitutional. And that led to the fight for gay marriage, which is now legal.

Yes, and did you know the jealous gay guy who made the phone call to police was a f**king racist? Look up the whole story behind it.

Rumor has it that both the accused died of AIDS in the end, from taking it in the end....They would be alive today had they obeyed the Texas law,.............. :dunno:

I've always thought it rather ironic that when those who have a problem with homosexuals on any level always make jokes about "Male" homosexuals, the "up the pooper" or other such lame jokes. I mean, it's almost automatic when they think of homosexuals , the "male" connection is made, not the lesbian or bisexual woman.

I've always maintenance that it's because lesbian or bi women don't threaten these men's egos. I mean, take a trip to any barracks at any US military base and you'll find lesbian porn galore in the enlisted men's rooms.

Their masculinity is intact with lesbians, but to acknowledge that a male homosexual might be around, it's the "eww" factor, it's automatic...ironic, don't you think?

States' rights
Government big enough to control your private actions in the privacy of your own home and life.
