the time is right for a new center right party

The right has gotten too extreme, too intolerate and too corrupt to be a viable alternative to the center left Dems.

Right wing moderates are finally starting to fight back. Romney and Meg Whitman are just the beginning.

I long for the day a true Conservative party emerges. One that's socially liberal, who believe government should stay out of people's bedrooms and doctors offices and one that's is truly fiscally responsible. You know, if you want war you raise taxes. If you want fixed roads and bridges you raise taxes. You want tax cuts you cut spending elsewhere (crazy concept I know)

Here's the thing - if you look back through the debates and elections, anyone that hints at shutting down the shrimp treadmills is considered a far right anarchist.

You will never be fiscally responsible if you can't even cut future growth.

Take the case of the "shrimp on a treadmill." Burnett says the senator's report linked that work to a half-million-dollar research grant. But that money actually went to a lot of different research that he and his colleagues did on this economically important seafood species.

The treadmills were just a small part of it, a way to measure how shrimp respond to changes in water quality. Burnett says the first treadmill was built by a colleague from scraps and was basically free, and the second was fancier and cost about $1,000. The senator's report was misleading, says Burnett, "and it suggests that much money was spent on seeing how long a shrimp can run on a treadmill, which was totally out of context."

The country is going to go bankrupt. It won't be the end of the world.
Skipping leg day is the equivalent of a woman having an abortion. You're ashamed of it, and it was probably unnecessary.

Its a common meme that represents over-spending in government.

But thanks for the info.

Yes...those common memes are often half assed representatives of the truth, aren't they?

Like i said - forest for the trees.

You are stuck talking about shrimp treadmills when the discussion is about fiscal restraint on the government.

Whether you are purposely trying to dodge the discussion or just a dog staring at the stick I am about to throw - that's your problem.

You brought up the shrimp treadmills.
I pointed out that the shrimp treadmills discussion is an out of context argument, which you agreed to when you admitted it to be nothing more than the right wing meme that is suggested.

Shrimp Treadmills represent rampant waste and resource misallocation by the federal government.

A true right party would advocate for the resources to remain in the marketplace where they can be used more efficiently.

However this is impossible - because as soon as a candidate brings this into the discussion - muh' roads, muh' children', muh' womenz is the coordinated chorus from the left.

Actually, the world has gotten too extreme, too intolerant and too corrupt!!! Which all goes back to our leadership!!! Voters on either side of the political spectrum are just workin stiffs an only respond to what's goin on around them.

Voters react to the morning paper an the evenin news, they have a pretty durn good grasp of what's goin on an bein worried about everybody's feelins for a generation ain't worked, political correctness ain't worked, an the war on poverty has worked just as well as the war on drugs.

Don't need no feel good "center right" "center left" "fruit loop left" or "fruit loop right"!!!

Time fur some tough love!!!
Endeavor to Persevere!!!
