Quoting limited to 3 levels deepTrump's statement

Clinton's statement
Hillary Clinton has supported the policies which allowed this massacre to happen.
So has the NRA.
The NRA doesn't bring refugees who turn terrorists into this country.
Skipping leg day is the equivalent of a woman having an abortion. You're ashamed of it, and it was probably unnecessary.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deepTrump's statement

Clinton's statementI'm the one who will keep you safe"
Yes, both are political. Yes, both have platitudes. Yes, both recommend policies but the difference is striking.

Clinton's statement opens with prayers for the victims. Then moves into some platitudes about defending the country and condemns hatred. She then recommends tougher gun policies. She mentions "I" only twice. In both instances she is part of a group. "I join Americans in praying..." and in reference to millions of allies of LGBT "I am one of them."

While policies are recommended, no political opponents are mentioned by name, not even as a group such as the NRA or gun control opponents.

Trump's statement starts off with sympathies. But that's where the similarities end. His second paragraph immediately rips President Obama and Hillary Clinton by name and ludicrously calls on the president to resign and Clinton to leave the presidential race, effectively conceding it to him of course.

His third paragraph again rips "weak" leaders and immediately moves into "I" statements about how prescient he is and how wonderful he will be... "I said this was going to happen... and "I am trying to save lives..."

Then some more policy stuff is included.

Finally, he attacks Clinton a second time by name. Yet more "I" statements."I am going to be a President for all Americans... and "I am going to protect and defend all Americans..."

Radical Islam is mentioned repeatedly in the statement. But unlike President Bush, who was very leaderly in always being careful to delineate respect for peaceful Muslims while attacking radical ones, no mention is made that peaceful Muslims exist at all. Nor does he bother mention them in his listings of "all Americans" which radical Muslims hate despite mentions of Christians and Jews.
ISIS is the textually authentic and accurate form of Islam. We're not playing this it has nothing to with Islam BS anymore.
We? If you're trying out for the David Dukes like "I can speak for all white folks" approach then you can keep my white behind out of it thanks.

You're going that sinking ship alone.

Turn terrorists into this country? Listen, I know we are sometines called war mongers but we're not that bad, geeze. Besides, speaking of 'turn into', why would we want to make these terrorists sedentary and having a high caloric intake? Doubt that's an effective tactic - you can't really McDonalds them to death...

It's the difference between a Chiwowa and a German Shepherd. Trump's tweet was appropriate.
What is a "chiwowa"?
A chiwowa is another name for an Obama and Hillary circle jerk in front of America ???....They yap and snap at the heels of people who are trying to kill us....They are only useful as lap dogs.... ....... :dunno:

I'm not sure what part of "all Americans" excludes Muslim Americans.

For many of us, the term "Radical Islam" is sufficient to make the delineation between jihadists and peaceful Muslims.
I'm afraid that uber-Trumpers like our friend The Edgitarian would disagree.

Unlike Bush, Trump rarely, if ever, separates peaceful from non-peaceful Muslims. Bush did this because he was aware of the distinction and aware that many in his base might not make that distinction. Trump clearly doesn't care that they don't. In fact, he'd prefer that they wouldn't and as the Edgitarian proves, his backers are hearing his message loud and clear. To them, true Islam is violent. Period.

And I'm pretty sure that if President Obama made a statement noting "liberals, progressives, Democrats, moderates and all Americans" you'd hear pretty quickly what was missing.

In what manner did this shooter not follow the example of Muhammad? Bush was a failure as a President; good riddance to that political dynasty.

His first thoughts - as usual - are about how awesome he is. Pathetic.

How is this horrifying, deranged, malformed person even up for consideration for the presidency?
Hmm. This is false - I believe he said stop congratulating and work the problem.

Yesterdays incident reveals Hillary's big issue in the first debate when Trump asks her to say "Fundamental Radical Islam". Being nice to ISIS isn't going to play well for your candidate or the sitting president.

You accuse me of misrepresenting what Trump said and then you assert that Obama and Hillary's policy has been to be "nice" to ISIS? :oyvey

Obama's policy has been to bomb them. Hillary's policy will likely be the same. Neither has recommended niceness to ISIS as a policy.

As for Trump, his thoughts in the tweet were about himself because that's how he views everything. His telling people to not congratulate him on being right was pretty obviously his way of conveying what he really wanted to say which was "Look how right I was!"

In case you have any doubt on this, Trump's statement linked by Ringo on this thread also emphasizes this as Trump directly says "I said this was going to happen - and it is only going to get worse." He also ran around claiming he predicted the Brussels terror attack a few months ago. One of Trump's big narcissist obsessions is focused on always telling everyone how he predicts things before they happen and how right he is afterwards. This is an ancient Trump theme.

Yes. You misrepresented the comment and Hillary, Obama still refuses to criticize Islamic radicalism. ISIS represents radical Islam - read the second paragraph, its pretty clear:

https://pjmedia.com/trending/2016/06/12/gay-activist-after-orlando-trump-voter/2/

Obama's policy has been to bomb them. Hillary's policy will likely be the same. Neither has recommended niceness to ISIS as a policy.

Fair point. I just wonder why the US policy is to import intolerance and racism from that part of the world.

As for Trump, his thoughts in the tweet were about himself because that's how he views everything. His telling people to not congratulate him on being right was pretty obviously his way of conveying what he really wanted to say which was "Look how right I was!"

Then you didn't the last part of the tweet - which clarified:

and on the flip side - we have two leftist morons running around telling people to turn in their guns, while at the same time protected by armed security guards.

Predicting a terrorist attack is like predicting sunny weather in Arizona, but simplicity is Trump's brand. This is the leftist brand, blame the NRA:

So has the NRA.
The NRA doesn't bring refugees who turn terrorists into this country.
True... They simply fill the people that are here with the guns they need to commit mass slaughter.
Domestic...foreign... Soil born or immigrant.... Sane, insane... Hateful, Loving..
It doesn't matter...same guns for all comers.
Should people on the no fly list be able to get guns? Felons? The clinically insane?
The NRA thinks so.
