Anyone paying attention knew that the DNC was in the tank for HRC. It was only HRC supporters who claimed otherwise.

If the Republican party had done the same to Trump (and it still might) and I had the option...I would vote for Bernie as a way of saying FU to the establishment. Hopefully the Berners will feel the same way and vote for Trump for the same reason...

Bernie was always my second choice after Trump . . .

Golly geez willikers, you mean that on May 26, 2015, when (***consults RCP average***) Clinton was running a staggering 56 points ahead of Bernie Sanders in the polls and appeared to be on a friction-free glide path to the nomination, that someone might perhaps have emailed the DNC with a strategy memo about what to do in the jaw-droppingly likely event that she won? You mean they may NOT have been investing a lot in coming up with a general election strategy for some socialist dude running under 8 percent in the polls.

I-I think I feel a bit lightheaded! A case of the vapors, no doubt! A tizzy has overtaken me! I must hasten my personage nigh to the fainting couch where I can steady myself with strong brandy! Perhaps a tincture of laudanum will becalm my jangled nerves from this moment of shock and amazement! Smelling salts, Clara, immediately...Clara? Damn, where has the maid gone in this moment of existential crisis?

Good grief, if this is what passes for evidence of corruption these days, it is a good thing we don't get to overhear the stuff they don't put in emails.

Okay, let's break this down logically.

First, here's a little-known fact about members of the DNC. They have preferences on who wins elections. I hate to flabbergast anybody here but people who are high-ranking members of political parties often have views on politics. Stunning stuff, clearly.

Many of them didn't particularly like Bernie. And given that he's treated the party they care about the way Ike Turner treated Tina, they appear to have had good reason not to trust him.

I realize that in SandersWorld, the party was supposed to fall head-over-heels in love and skip romantically through a Vermont meadow before jumping adoringly into Bernie's bulging, well-muscled arms. But it turns out that in a democracy, you are actually expected to convince voters and win elections. The only thing the DNC owed him was a bite at the apple. He got that. He couldn't capitalize. The DNC wasn't required to love him. They were simply required to give him a fair shot. They did. He lost. Everything since then has simply been lathery excuse-mongering.

Bernie was never anything more to the DNC than window dressing, an "also ran" from the beginning to dupe democratic constituents into the false perception that the Democratic primaries were something more than a dog n pony show for Hillary.

No, you posted it elsewhere - http://unitedstates.com/topic/8464390/1/#post8117655 - and when that didn't get the attention you started its own thread. That's plenty; 3 will be spam.

How convenient - considering it's a source

Not sure what being a source has to do with anything. We just don't need the same items spammed all over the board, that's all. 2 is plenty, 3 is spam.

That was, of course, the intention. Unfortunately for the DNC, he actually had a message that resonated with a significant number of Democratic voters. Now they've got a problem on their hands. They've successfully beaten back his insurgency, but it has cost them in credibility and in loyalty. And they're flailing around, not really sure how to mitigate that.

A libertarian with problems with authority? That's kind of the definition of libertarian.
