Myself, I use both, WX as well as W7. Might be the wireless connection, that slows WX down. Phone uses Android; no probs. |

Nope it is an inherent problem with both 7 and 10. Microsoft is on it. |

Edro: Old Notebook = W7; New Notebook = WX. Phone = old Samsung = Note-3; old Nokia-phone just for simple calls. |

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie10-windows_8/ie-10-very-slow-in-loading-pages/5ae3c66f-2bfe-4663-a236-4070b3692ecb IE 10 has been slow in loading pages, not one specific site. I called Microsoft and I was told IE 10 has problems because it is a new browser??!! This is more than a little disturbing to get that as an answer. I have a new HP 1534, FX 6200 six core 3.8ghtz with 10GB Ram Windows 8 pro 64 bit HD7570 2gig graphics card and virtually no add-ons. If I stop loading any page and hit refresh, the page loads right away. I have a cable connection so speed is not an issue. I do not have this problem with Firefox or chrome. I do not want to switch back to Firefox since I made the decision to dump all Google / android products and go with windows 8. I would appreciate any help for the answers and repair suggestions follow the advice. |

Personally I hate Google, but thanks for the advice. I have used fx before. I can deal with new OS releases from MS as they come along. I manage to correct those prblems as they appear. I have used Macs, Linux boxes and have always built all my boxes using Microsoft products. |

If you have Windows 10 as your OS then you should be using either Internet Explorer 11 or Edge as your browser if you insist on using a Microsoft product. From Microsoft's point of view it should be Edge as Edge is more secure than any previous version of IE. I use Chrome, Edge, IE and Opera depending on what I am doing and I do not have any issues with load time. Now one interesting glitch I have seen in Windows 10 has to do with the DNS error. For some reason certain NICs have an issue in Win10 and will give you an error page in your browser about the DNS not responding. If you get this error go into the settings for your internet connection and change the DNS settings from "Obtain automatically" to fixed and type in the DNS you prefer. As and example Google's DNS is 8.8.8.8 for Primary and 8.8.4.4 for secondary. If you don't like google you can use Open DNS which is 208.67.222.222 Primary and 208.68.220.220 Secondary. |

Here is a very good reason why I said that! One Pokemon Go user happened to notice a concerning security risk in the app. Adam Reeve, who previously worked at Goldman Sachs and Tumblr and is currently employed by security analytics company Red Owl, wrote about the threat in a blog post. You have only two options to sign into the game--use log in information from pokemon.com, or sign in with your Google credentials. Because of the immense popularity of the game, the Pokemon website currently (at the time of writing) isn’t accepting new users. That means Google is your only choice. |

My desktop is next to the modem and is wire connected. My Asus transformer laptop is wireless. I also have two tablets which I have not used in months. |
