'NOWHERE TO GO' Syrian refugees want to leave safe haven on remote Scottish island because ‘it is full of old people waiting to die’

The group complain about spending most of their time indoors and being bored

SYRIAN refugees offered a fresh start on a remote Scottish island say they want to leave because it is “full of old people waiting to die”.

The group arrived on the Isle of Bute after fleeing bombings and bloodshed in their homeland.

But they have complained about spending most of their time indoors and being bored.

If you don't ascribe to the local brew (which is disgusting).

Or to the dancing that makes amends to its rather vulgar taste, you might get bored of Scotland!

Let's see, no bombings, no civil war, no ISIS/ISIL, free to raise their children in a way better environment then where they were, and they wanna bitch?...I'll say, no problem...but you'll be going back to Syria then.

We'll give every male ages 18-50 an AK-47/74, and a chance to free their homeland, while at the same time here in Scotland we'll promise to raise their children up in secular society governed by the Rule of Law but one in which they would still be free to practice their faith unhindered.

If you got stranded in the same place you'd be bitching to

Bordom is a form of imprisonment. It can literally drive you crazy

Many Syrian refugees are from their educated upper class, these people can be put to good use

Yes they can, arm them and send them back, ISIS/ISIL has at best 40,000 fighters strung out over a vast territory...100,000 male refugees could do the job just nicely. I don't care if they are bored, they were given a great chance at a brand new life, courtesy of a country that didn't have to take them in, and now they wanna bitch. Ef em, send them back.

Too Bad... If they dont like it... SEND THEM BACK TO FIGHT.
Trump needs to focus more so on the male vote. He should have nationalized the Boy Scouts when they decided to admit girls.

All of your made a major mistake. Well a few actually.

A) You believed ole Monte, who is a lying sack of s**t when it comes to muslism.

B) You trusted The Sun, which any Brit will tell you is a rag.

C) Ya'll knee jerked. Read the entire damn piece, plus the other sources. It makes more sense than the crap spewed in The Sun.

Here's another take or two on it:

Oh really, just like that?
Will they also supply them with training, command structure, air support, armour, logistics, supply trains, food, you know, things to make them functional

And exactly who will they be fighting? Assad? Any number of groups?

Or is you plan to dump them off on some shore with an ak47 and a few clips, maybe a gas station road map?

First thing first...send them back, once there, you set up CIA/Special Forces camps to train cadres, these cadres will train the hundreds that first show up, and they will train the thousands after, as you say, it's some of their best and brightest, I figure they can set up a Command Council and they can communicate to Assad their intention is to get rid of ISIS/ISIL, any disagreements with Assad can be dealt with after ISIS/ISIL has been dealt with.

So it's the job of the host country to make sure these people are not bored? N. Korea has labor shortage.

@Tsal/et al. - Yes...because as we know training natives of a country to go back and topple it ("for freedom") has worked so well in the past. Just ask GW Bush, Kennedy, etc....

Monty reads the Sun... how sad can you get? Monty, you know full well that while the rankers might have read the Sun, you wouldn't find one in the officers' mess - you probably spent many a moment scoffing at the very idea of pleb Sun readers, no doubt.

Yet, here you are, quoting from the Sun... Why? because a newspaper written by the illiterate for the illiterate echoes your convoluted values.

As Lucash pointed out, the story is completely manipulated in order to provide swill for the gullible - you only have to read his top link (BBC) to see what is the real situation amongst those Syrian refugees.

And of course, just as the Sun caters for those that move their lips when reading to themselves, a quote from the Sun has a flurry of silent lip movement from our US right-wing friends as they excitedly scan your link's ridiculous source.

Trump looks like he has a chance of getting in - is anybody really surprised, judging by the comments on this thread?

Cheers

You don't have to be a snob to recognize that the Sun is crap, so much so that it's not even worth wiping your arse with, which is why when a Rupert starts quoting from the Sun you know he's desperate.

Here's a clue, when you have 5-column wide headers, in 3-figure font size, accompanied by a photo that spans the page... and this combination fills your front page except for 3 lines of 1-column, 12 point text.... you're reading a Beano.

Cheers, Robbie, you riff-raff :spat:

So, lemme see if we all got this right. A "non-Beano" newspaper would be one with the appearance of substance, one which treats its reader's with paragraphs filled with a heavy political/intellectual discourse. Rows and rows of columns give our "non-Beano" newspaper a look of erudition, a must read rag. Kinda like the Times, no? They are filled with weighty topics and the front page dripping with news ink. Right? From Pravda to Izvestia to the Chinese Communist Daily, just glancing at its front page gives these newspapers a certain "non-Beano" look. Newspapers with a message, advocating the correct point of view. And as another fine example...we have...

Posted Image

A "non-Beano" rag to be sure. But me, I don't need left-wing political indoctrination to start my day. I much prefer turning to page 3 in the Sun, where a voluptuous babe dazzles my heavy eyelids over morning coffee. "And, hey, ...looky here...(!), she votes Tory as well...!" Now, c'mon, isn't seeing such a lovely image over morning coffee that much more intellectually stimulating than reading the usual far left-wing drivel in the Guardian? And, their women, when they do appear on page 23.....? Don't even ask.
