Those civilized liberals in Europe actually thought they could "ride the tiger" and assimilate and reason with millions of muslims. Big mistake. Europe is going to start looking liked the middle east, with attacks everywhere.
My prediction: explosive devices going off will become common place. They are moving the material in as we speak
Millions of muslims are not involved with this, they're as terrified as you are of these terrorists Its a storm we're all just going to have to ride out That would be a valid thing to say if there were anyone here claiming all Muslims are doing this, but that's not the case. The blame should be directed at the tenets and teachings of Islam, not individual Muslims. Tell me if you disagree with the following:
If a new terrorist group suddenly showed up on the world stage killing people in multiple countries, all the while waving copies of their manifesto, the MSM would be falling all over each other trying to be the first to publish and dissect said manifesto. Right?
Well, we do have a new terrorist group. But, they have an old manifesto. So, why no MSM scrutiny of it? Because it's called the Qur'an, and to properly observe the strict tenets of political correctness, we simply aren't "allowed" to suggest that, for example, Muslims are fighting infidels because verse 9:29 tells them to, or that Muslim men beat their wives because verse 4:34 tells them to, or that Muslims can rape their captives because 4:24 tells them to. Etc, etc.
Western civilization is letting itself be subsumed.

ISIS is effective in reaching their goals........... ISIS is the best organized and most militarily capable nationalist Islamist group yet. No such group can prevail for any sustained period in the face of overwhelming Western air power, which means that ISIS will eventually fade into opportunistic guerrilla and terrorism when some new patched-over political solution is imposed on what is now Syria and Iraq.
That doesn't mean the end has arrived because just as ISIS has superseded Al Qaeda, something will supersede ISIS. These movements are all blends of Sunni Islamism, revolution, guerrilla and terrorism. They are mere bubbles that come to the surface as a result of the profound upheaval in the Arab world. Eventually, that underlying ferment will produce some form of United States of Arabia aka the Caliphate, which will reach a position of equilibrium with the West in the Arab world and its tributary nations in Africa.
The question for us is: how many lives and dollars do we want to spend trying in vain to resuscitate the old Sykes-Picot vision of the Middle East?

I saw this today and thought it worth passing on:
"Muhammad was once a refugee taken in by the Jewish City of Medina. Within 5-years, he had driven out, executed, or enslaved every Jew there."

I saw this today and thought it worth passing on:
"Muhammad was once a refugee taken in by the Jewish City of Medina. Within 5-years, he had driven out, executed, or enslaved every Jew there." It is an interesting quote but modern archeology offers a rather different picture. Medina was a wealthy town whose trade and farm land was controlled by powerful Jewish families. Arabs from a number of tribes lived in the town as individuals, laborers without tribal connection or support. The decisive change came around 575 CE when the great dam of Ma'rib collapsed, destroying numerous villages in what is now Yemen and making further farming in the area impossible. The Ma'rib disaster jammed Medina to overflowing with Arab refugees.
As he had done earlier in Mecca, Mohammed assumed the position of leader of the Arab underclass. He appealed to the Jewish ruling class for charity and better living conditions on the basis of a shared faith in the God of Moses. As had happened earlier in Mecca, Mohammed was rebuffed by the Jewish merchants and land owners and once again, the conflict over limited economic resources turned violent. This time, Mohammed and his Arab refugees won and took control of Medina.
His consolidation of Arab power gave Mohammed the ability to return to Mecca, demanding equality of Arabs and Jews on the basis of shared belief. Again he was rejected but this time superior military power enabled him to defeat his adversaries and drive them into exile.
The interesting takeaway from these events, which are the historic cradle of the Muslim religion, is that it was the Jews who held wealth and power in Mecca and Medina. Mohammed became the political and military leader of the Arab underclass and struggled for social justice for his people on the basis of shared religious beliefs. The Jews, more wealthy and more powerful through their network connections to Egypt and the Levant refused to recognize Arabs as co-religionists, insisting on their own tribal power and privilege. They lost and Mohammed became the leader of a revolutionary uprising of the Arab people and prophet of God's Covenant with them.
As Mark Twain said, history doesn't repeat itself, but it rhymes.

Rather than getting into the tar baby that nit-picking your post would become, just let me ask you how any of that changes the fact that Mohamed either expelled or killed every Jew in Medina?

The Kool-Aid and Tar Baby references are a sly admission that my history of the events is indeed the one accepted by scholars everywhere. The significance of the historical background includes:
1. Mohammed's leadership was a revolution of the Arab under-class against their Jewish exploiters, i.e. a political and economic struggle for social justice.
2. Mohammed understood his fellow believers to be a legitimate branch of the Abrahamic religion described in the Old Testament, i.e. spiritual brothers of Jews. It was the Jews, not the Muslims who rejected this claim to brotherhood.
3. The revolution of the Arab under-class against its Jewish overlords was conducted by the traditional rules of such warfare in the region at the time. See the Book of Job in the O.T. for the Jewish version of those rules.
I understand your need to use the rhetoric of Kool-Aid and Tar Baby references as the historical record of Mohammed's life does not support the hateful bigotry with which you view Islam. What you fail to grasp is the dominant influence of the Wahabbi sect in parts of Arab society as a result of billions of dollars of philanthropy and propaganda for its extreme views on the part of the Saudi Royal Family.

You can go through the bible and find lots of references to killing, raping, drowning your own kid, rip out their eyes, slaughter whole tribes and you can interpret that as God saying it's ok, probably more the the Koran says Whats the difference? The difference is that the bible contains one-off stories, all written over hundreds of years by many authors, NOT commands to be carried forward, except perhaps for some of the 5H!t in the OT. But, then "Jesus" came along and taught love and forgiveness to largely offset and negate that crap.
The Qur'an is the polar opposite. It is mostly commands and proclamations, authored by one man with one agenda over 22 years, with the odd story thrown in. It started with the not so bad stuff, then after Mo got humiliated out of Mecca, he turned into a warlord, and the Qur'an got nasty. Very. Nasty.
That's the Reader's Digest version. He DID either expel, subjugate, or kill every Jew in Yathrib (Medina) within 5 years, and no amount of tap dancing is going to make that untrue. The important thing to remember is that Mohamed made war, and his successors carried on after him. Now ISIS thinks they're collectively Mohamed.2.
Reflexively defending Islam just because your political opponents condemn it is short-sighted and eventually self-defeating. They may never succeed, but don't kid yourself that they're not going to do their best to Islamify the world. If this were Germany, the year would be 1924.

There is NO bigotry required to hate the contents of the Qur'an. I hate any ideology that teaches:
- We are better than you. - We control our women, and will beat them if they disobey. - You must be fought and subjugated. - We may take your women as sex slaves after we defeat you. - You are the lowest of beasts in the eyes of God. - Our greatest enemies are Jews and Pagans. - Christians are hell-bound blasphemers who wish we would join them in Hell. - Jews are to be despised as apes and swine. - God does not love you. - God is your enemy.
Where the hell is the bigotry in hating that????????
And the question I have for all you apologists is, "Why don't you hate it too?"

I hate any ideology that teaches: - We are better than you.
- We are better than you. "He was most knowing of you when He produced you from the earth and when you were fetuses in the wombs of your mothers. So do not claim yourselves to be pure; He is most knowing of who fears Him." *Surat al Najm ( the star ) verse 32 - We control our women, and will beat them if they disobey. why do u care more than a Muslim women ,by the way the only reason that is when a women refuses to have sex for a long time and he can't get married to another one , notice in Islam the man have to pay every thing in the house women don't have to pay even if she is rich , and the husband in that case have to talk with his wife first , if she doesn't accept he can may not talk to her , will most women don't reach the third stage if she doesn't want sex or don't love her husband she can have a divorce , it's rare to find a women who reaches the last stage , divorce is easy in Islam if there is no reason she pays back the dowry if there is a reason for example he is bad to her the court will give her a divorce ... and another reason may be when she cheats him otherwise he doesn't have a right to do anything And all Muslim country punish the husband of he hit his wife - You must be fought and subjugated. - We may take your women as sex slaves after we defeat you."Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, 31:17 Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, 31:18 Bible ... By the way in Islam many verses talk about freeing slaves that it please Allah , and the companion of the prophet peace be upon him used to buy slaves and set them free to please God . Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly." *Surat al mumtahinah verse 8
- God does not love you. "And We have certainly honored the children of Adam and carried them on the land and sea and provided for them of the good things and preferred them over much of what We have created, with [definite] preference." *Surat al Israa verse 70 "O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted."Surat al hujurat verse 13 "O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers." Surat al hujurat verse 11
