Gunmen are believed to have attacked the building and special forces have been deployed.
The emergency hospital said they had received five injured people from the scene so far.

With any luck there won't be too many injuries in this attack.
People sleep peacefully in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to visit violence on those who would do them harm.

When it comes to guns on campus, American University is a lot safer than the University of Texas -- at least it should be safer according to the NRA dictum that an armed student body is the best preventative of gun crimes on college grounds. Will our concealed carry theorists explain how this tragedy could have happened to one of the best armed institutions of higher learning in the whole world? Thank you
